Integrations

Connect any mailbox, in about a minute

Gmail and Outlook connect with a normal sign-in. Everything else connects over IMAP and SMTP. Add as many accounts as you like and use them side by side.

  • Google & Microsoft sign-in
  • Yahoo, Titan, custom IMAP
  • No mail is moved or copied away

How connecting works

Three ways in, one result

However a mailbox connects, you get the same inbox, folders, conversations and composer.

  • Sign in with Google

A standard Google consent screen. You approve access to read and manage mail; Senin Mail never sees your Google password.

  • Sign in with Microsoft

A standard Microsoft consent screen for Outlook.com and Microsoft 365. Again, no password is shared.

  • IMAP & SMTP

For Yahoo, Titan and any other server, enter the server details and an app password. The password is encrypted before it is stored.

Gmail & Google Workspace

Gmail, with labels as folders

Senin Mail uses the Gmail API with the narrowest permission that covers reading, flagging, archiving and sending. Labels appear as folders, and changes sync both ways.

  • Incremental sync from Gmail's history, so only changes are fetched
  • Labels you create here appear in Gmail, and the other way round
  • Drafts are saved in your real Gmail Drafts
  • Permanent delete moves messages to Trash; Gmail empties Trash after 30 days

Permission requested

gmail.modify

Reads, flags, archives and sends. It cannot permanently delete mail on its own, which is why deleting from Gmail means Trash.

Outlook & Microsoft 365

Outlook, with the folders you already have

Connects through Microsoft Graph. Your folders, including ones you created, appear in the sidebar, and moving or deleting a folder happens in your real mailbox.

  • Delta sync: only new and changed mail is fetched
  • Conversations include the replies you sent
  • Large attachments are uploaded in chunks
  • Delete forever removes a message permanently from Deleted Items

Permissions requested

Mail.ReadWrite · Mail.Send · offline_access

Read and manage your mail, send as you, and stay signed in without asking you repeatedly.

Yahoo, Titan & any IMAP server

Everything else, over IMAP and SMTP

Any provider that supports IMAP and SMTP works, including your own domain's mail server. Sent mail is filed into your Sent folder and drafts into Drafts, so other apps see them too.

  • Mailboxes are detected by their standard names and flags
  • UIDVALIDITY changes are handled, so a re-created mailbox never shows stale mail
  • Servers on private networks are blocked, protecting you from misconfigured hosts
  • Passwords are encrypted at rest and never shown again

Setup guides

Connect your first account

The same four steps for every provider.

  1. Open “Connect an account”

In the sidebar, click the plus next to Your accounts.

  2. Choose your provider

Google or Microsoft for a normal sign-in. Yahoo, Titan or Other for IMAP.

  3. Approve access

On Google's or Microsoft's screen, tick the mail permission. For IMAP, enter your server and an app password.

  4. Wait a moment

Your recent mail appears first. The rest follows in the background.

Yahoo Mail

Create an app password in Yahoo's account security page, then choose Yahoo when connecting. Use imap.mail.yahoo.com (993) and smtp.mail.yahoo.com (465).

Titan

Use your Titan email address and password with imap.titan.email (993) and smtp.titan.email (465).

Gmail with an app password

You normally don't need one: choose Google to sign in. App passwords are only for IMAP.

Your own server

Choose Other email and enter your IMAP and SMTP hosts and ports. Port 993 uses TLS for IMAP and 465 for SMTP.

Questions

Connecting accounts

Why does Google show an “unverified app” warning?
During early access the app is still going through Google's verification. Until then, Google shows this notice and only approved test accounts can connect. Verification is being prepared.
Do you store my Google or Microsoft password?
No. Those accounts connect with OAuth, which gives Senin Mail a revocable token instead. Only IMAP accounts use an app password, which is encrypted before it is stored.
What happens when I disconnect an account?
Access is revoked where the provider allows it (Google), the stored credentials are deleted, and the cached copy of that account's messages is removed. Your mail at the provider is untouched.
Can I connect the same address twice?
No. Connecting an address that's already linked simply refreshes it. To add a different account, choose “Use another account” on the Google or Microsoft screen.
My IMAP provider is not listed. Will it work?
If it supports IMAP and SMTP, almost certainly. Choose Other email and enter the details from your provider's help page.

It takes about a minute, and you can disconnect at any time.
